Cancel your registration

Use this service to cancel your ICO registration.

Cancelling your registration will not automatically stop your direct debit.  If you pay by direct debit, you’ll also need to cancel it with the bank or building society.

Before you start

Check that you no longer need to pay your fee. The data protection fee is a legal obligation so you must be sure you no longer need to pay before cancelling.

You’ll need:

• Your organisation's registration reference number. This can be found on your application or renewal correspondence, eg A123456 or ZA123456.

• Your original reference number, if you've created a duplicate registration.

• The reference number for the new organisation, if you've had a change of legal status.
