The London Borough of Enfield (the Council) has been served with an Enforcement Notice as a result of evidence seen by the Commissioner about its performance in relation to its statutory duties under the Freedom of Information Act. In September 2025 the Council had 271 open requests which were (at least) more than one month old and potentially further requests yet to be logged. The Enforcement Notice requires the Council to ensure it has logged all requests it has received within three months of this notice and answered all overdue FOI requests at the date of this notice within six months.
