The complainant requested copies of correspondence in relation to an email which was sent by a journalist. Buckinghamshire Council (the Council) refused the request under regulations 5(3) And 13(1) (personal data) of the EIR. The Commissioner’s decision is that the complainant requested their own personal data and that the Council was entitled to apply regulation 5(3) of the EIR to refuse the request. The Commissioner does not require any steps to be taken.
