The complainant has requested information in relation to speeding fines caught by average speed cameras along a specific stretch of motorway. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) relied on sections 31(1)(a)(b) – Law Enforcement, and 38(1)(b) - Health and Safety of FOIA to withhold the requested information.
The Commissioner’s decision is that sections 31(1)(a)(b) and 38(1)(b) of FOIA are engaged and that the balance of the public interest favours maintaining the exemptions.
The Commissioner does not require any steps to be taken as a result of this decision.
