Chief Constable Commissioner for the Metropolis (Metropolitan Police Service)

The complainant has requested copies of audio recordings of police interviews from the Metropolitan Police Service (the “MPS”). The MPS refused to provide the requested information citing sections 30(1)(a) ((Investigations and proceedings), 27(1)(a) and (c) (International relations) and 40(2) (Personal information) of FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the MPS is entitled to rely on section 40(2) by virtue of 40(3A)(a). No steps are required.
