The complainant has requested information about voting in the 2024 General Election. Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council stated that it did not hold this information for the purposes of FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the information sought by the complainant is not held by the Council for the purposes of FOIA and that the Council is entitled to rely on section 3(2) (Information held by a public authority) of FOIA. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken as a result of this decision.
