Common Council of the City of London

The complainant requested the Common Council of the City of London (‘CoL’) to release information relating to its FOI function and how its requests have been handled over the last 2 years. The CoL responded refusing to provide the requested information under section 12(4)(b) of the Act. As the complainant remained dissatisfied, he approached the Commissioner. The Commissioner has given the matter careful consideration and he is satisfied that section 12(1) applies by virtue of section 12(4)(b) of the Act to the request. He therefore requires no further action to be taken.
