Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) has been served with an Enforcement Notice as a result of evidence seen by the Commissioner about its performance in relation to its statutory duties under the Freedom of Information Act. At the date of the notice BHRUT had an average compliance rate of 29% or answering requests within 20 working days. It also had a significant backlog of older requests. The Enforcement Notice requires BHRUT to provide responses to all requests that are currently more than 20 working days old by 31 December 2024.
