The complainant has requested the information reportedly provided by MI6 to author Michael Shelden while researching his biography of Graham Greene.
The Commissioner’s decision is that the Cabinet Office is entitled to rely on section 23(5), information supplied by, or relating to, bodies dealing with security matters, to refuse to confirm or deny whether it holds the information.
The Commissioner does not require the Cabinet Office to take any further steps.
