The complainant has requested the correspondence and communications between the Association of Investors in Infrastructure Projects and/or John Hutton (Lord Hutton of Furness) and Cabinet Office ministers as well as information relating to any meetings held between these parties. The Cabinet Office relies on section 41 (information provided in confidence) and/or section 36 (effective conduct of public affairs) of FOIA to withhold the requested information that it holds. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Cabinet Office correctly relied on section 41 to withhold the withheld information.
