The ICO exists to empower you through information.

We are delighted to announce that the ICO is holding an event for local government information rights practitioners. This event will focus on areas of ICO activity most likely to impact upon the local government sector and will be an opportunity to interact with us and hear more about the work we do.

The event will be virtual, on 20 March at 1:30pm (UK time) and will include talks on the following areas, followed by a Q and A:

  • Data protection
  • Freedom of information
  • The ICO’s Care Experienced Project

This event is an opportunity for information rights practitioners from all levels of local government to discuss and seek advice from us on the areas of our remit of most importance to you. You will hear from our team members who regularly work with the local government sector and will have the chance to talk to us about your experiences of complying with information rights law and interacting with the ICO.

If you are an information rights practitioner within local government, you can register your interest for this free event.
