- Closing date 21 September 2022
- Type ICO consultation
- Status Closed, with a summary of responses
As required by section 124 of the Data Protection Act 2018, we are developing a code of practice about using personal data for journalism.
The draft code provides practical guidance about how to comply with data protection legal requirements and good practice. The code will help anyone using personal data for journalism, although it is mainly aimed at media organisations and journalists.
Our first consultation closed in January 2022, preceded by a call for views in 2019. We have now published the responses and our summary, explaining how we have responded to your feedback.
For more information about what we do with personal data, please see our privacy notice.
